Brian Peddie

Brian Peddie has led a life of creativity, innovation and leadership.

He was a Lead Facilitator for the Farm Business Resilience Program in Western Australia over the past 2 years. He led teams of farm and finance advisors and small group facilitators to assist farm businesses to develop strategic plans. During this time he was also Project Manager for 2 behaviour change projects in Geraldton and Fremantle focusing on physical activity, energy, water use and transport.

As Director of Sustainable Transport Programs for the Victorian Department of Transport he pioneered sustainable school travel planning in Australia and a range of innovative approaches to travel behaviour change.

Together with Di Shaw, Brian has co-founded and directed three companies – Deckchair Theatre Company, Working Bodies and, more recently, Shaped Outcomes.

He has conducted cultural, community and strategic planning with businesses, government and non-government organisations and groups over many years.

Brian learnt creative problem solving as co-founder with Di Shaw of Fremantle’s professional Deckchair Theatre Company (operated 1983 – 2012).

Brian holds a Murdoch University B.A. (1st Class Hons) in Population, Resources and Technology (thesis – community engagement) and a Monash University Executive Master of Public Administration (Australia and New Zealand School ofGovernment – ANZSOG).
